Empirical Evaluation of Tropos4AS Modelling

چکیده
Our work addresses the challenges arising in the development of self-adaptive software, which has to work autonomously in an unpredictable environment, fulfilling the objectives of its stakeholders, while avoiding failure. In this context we developed the Tropos4AS framework, which extends the AOSE methodology Tropos to capture and detail at design time the specific decision criteria needed for a system to guide selfadaptation at run-time, and to preserve the concepts of agent and goal model explicitly along the whole development process until run-time. In this paper, we present the design of an empirical study for the evaluation of Tropos4AS, with the aim of assessing the modeling effort, expressiveness and comprehensibility of Tropos4AS models. This experiment design can be reused for the evaluation of other modeling languages ex-

Investigating the Empirical Effect of ABC Stages on the Performance of Companies
The major aim of this study is to extend Zhang and Isa’s (2011) study by investigating the moderating effect of the stages of ABC application on the firms’ performance. This study selects 106 Chinese manufacturing companies and employs multiple regression technique and structural equation modelling. It examines whether successful application of the ABC directly affects the firm’s performance, a...
متن کاملNumerical modelling of the underground roadways in coal mines– uncertainties caused by use of empirical-based downgrading methods and in situ stresses
Numerical modelling techniques are not new for mining industry and civil engineering projects anymore. These techniques have been widely used for rock engineering problems such as stability analysis and support design of roadways and tunnels, caving and subsidence prediction, and stability analysis of rock slopes. Despite the significant advancement in the computational mechanics and availabili...
متن کاملDaily Pan Evaporation Modelling With ANFIS and NNARX
Evaporation, as a major component of the hydrologic cycle, plays a key role in water resources development and management in arid and semi-arid climatic regions. Although there are empirical formulas available, their performances are not all satisfactory due to the complicated nature of the evaporation process and the data availability. This paper explores evaporation estimation methods based o...
متن کاملA Goal-Oriented Approach for Modelling Self-organising MAS
Autonomous software agents provide a promising solution to the needs of decentralised networked systems, able to adapt their behaviour in a complex and dynamically changing environment. Current agent-oriented software engineering methodologies tend to focus on different levels to realise such a self-adapting behaviour, namely the agent individual level and the global system level. The first req...
متن کاملComparing Empirical and Semi-Empirical Approaches to Forest Biomass Modelling in Different Biomes Using Airborne Laser Scanner Data
Airborne laser scanner (ALS) data are used operationally to support field inventories and enhance the accuracy of forest biomass estimates. Modelling the relationship between ALS and field data is a fundamental step of such applications and the quality of the model is essential for the final accuracy of the estimates. Different modelling approaches and variable transformations have been advocat...
